Taking part in the Bearathon

Seven of our team members signed up to take part in the Bearathon to raise money for The Children's Hospital Charity, a challenge to run, walk, swim or cycle 2.75km every day throughout August.

The 2.75km distance represents the £2.75m that is needed for the new cancer and leukaemia ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The Bearathon is one of a number events being launched to help raise money under The Bears of Sheffield trail that launched in July.

Bradley Longford, Joel Holmes, Melissa Walsh, Sue Pinder, Katie Burnham, Ross Cooke and Chloe Goddard have signed up to the challenge and began their activity efforts to continue our fundraising as a Supporting Partner of The Bears of Sheffield.

Our team have already hit their fundraising target of £300, but if you'd like to make a donation please visit the team's fundraising page.

I was so keen to take part in the Bearathon event - not only are we focusing on looking after our physical and mental health by staying active and helping each other as a group, but it's so equally rewarding knowing our efforts are raising vital funds for the charity.
