Henry Boot Construction’s Annual Safety Award winners have been announced, rewarding their commitment to achieving the highest standards in the industry.

The awards are determined on the basis of the monthly health and safety audit scores, directors’ tours and general standards on site.  Managing Director Simon Carr made a presentation to the award winners, who are listed below:

Dronfield Office – Ryan Spencer and Lee Skidmore for the Western Park Hospital Inpatient Ward in Sheffield.  A complex project carried out in a sensitive environment.

Manchester Office  – Tony Lynch and Hannah Lowe for the Piccadilly Gardens project in central Manchester. Our first project completed under the North West Construction Hub Framework.

Civil Engineering – John Renshaw for the Leppings Lane Bridge in Hillsborough, Sheffield.  This project, one of many carried out for AMEY LG, involved structural repairs to a reinforced concrete bridge over the River Don.

The Young Achiever Award was presented to Sam Wood.  Since starting with Henry Boot Construction, Sam has spent time in several departments and sites including St Wilfrids’ and Rudding Park showing great aptitude and enthusiasm to progress. A great addition and valuable member of the Henry Boot team.

The winners all received a trophy plus Meadowhall gift vouchers.

“I was proud to present this year’s safety awards.  The winners have shown commitment to the highest standard of health and safety on their sites which is a key part of the Henry Boot culture”
