Working with the Barnsley Employment & Skills Taskforce – 11/12/17

Barnsley MBC

Project Director, Ryan O’Loughlin and Employment and Skills Manager, Adeana Raper have been continuing their work with the Barnsley Employment & Skills Board throughout 2017.

The Barnsley Employment and Skills Board is tasked with steering the delivery of the 2016-2020 'More and Better Jobs' Plan and provides a forum for stakeholders to raise the ambition of individuals, communities and businesses to ensure their future prosperity.

The Steering Group is responsible for ensuring Barnsley Council and its partners provide a clear vision and direction for skills and employment progression, driven by principles of inclusivity, individual and business progression and partnership, in line with identified local needs. The Group also has some exciting plans as we move into 2018.

“As a large local employer it is important for us to contribute towards the success of the group. We believe our presence can align the current and future demand for skills and preparation for entry into the labour market.”
