Wharfedale View, the Extra Care Housing facility in Yeadon has been successful at the year’s LABC West Yorkshire Awards 2017. The Extra Care development won Best Inclusive Design after being nominated for the award by Watson Batty, the Architects who worked on the project.

The LABC Awards are given in recognition of excellence and quality workmanship by construction professionals for projects that have been completed within the last twelve months. The award, which recognises schemes that go beyond design standards to ensure that the highest standards of inclusive design have been achieved, was awarded for the high standards of construction and workmanship that went in to creating this new 45 self-contained Extra Care development, for Leeds City Council.

“Watson Batty Architects are delighted to have received this recognition from the LABC. We believe this is born out of the successful team approach adopted throughout the project to full understand the needs and requirements of Leeds City Council’s in partnership with NPS, which was translated into design solutions and delivered by Henry Boot Construction.”
