The Follow the Herd charity hunt took place on Thursday 29 September and proved to be a resounding success.

With more than ten teams taking part, along with a number of individual entries, Henry Boot Construction made up two teams, with colleagues Sue Pinder, Sue Freer, Lydia McGuiness, Dave Woodhouse, Ryan Spencer, Tom Gibbons, and Megan Collins and Danielle Spencer from Banner Cross all taking part.

All participating teams had to solve clues leading them to different elephants on the Herd of Sheffield trail, with the aim being to find all ten elephants and return back to the starting point at Nabarro before the two hour time limit ran out. Along the way, the teams needed to answer ten cryptic questions in order to win a special prize.

The event raised a total of £510, which will go towards supporting The Children’s Hospital Charity. The DLA Dynamos won the trail by finding all elephants in the quickest time, with the Counter Context team coming second for the most questions answered correctly. Moot McDonald came in third place overall and our Henry Boot Construction team won a price for being the second fastest to find all the elephants, so huge congratulations to everyone involved!

“Nabarro was delighted to host the Follow the Herd fundraising event in conjunction with Henry Boot. All the teams did a fantastic job trailblazing around the city centre, hunting elephants, answering questions, fighting the cold and raising lots of money for the Sheffield’s Children Hospital. We look forward to the next event!”

“We had a great evening of fun hunting for the elephants and raising money for The Children’s Hospital Charity. We were tasked with locating ten elephants in and around Sheffield’s city centre, based on clues which led to each elephant. With a time limit of two hours and additional ‘cryptic questions’ to answer, it was a challenge! Our mission completed, we found all ten elephants and our team ‘Henry’s Herd placed second and won a prize! Special thanks to everyone who organised the event and particularly to Nabarro for their involvement, including the fantastic home cooked meal and refreshments provided.”
