Amey and Henry Boot Construction win construction award – 07/11/16

Amey and Henry Boot Construction have recently won a Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire Award for the work that they have carried out together on Sheffield’s Streets Ahead contract.

The Collaborative Working Award was given at a glamorous ceremony at the Cutler’s Hall, Sheffield, on Friday 9th October. Both organisations were praised for the way in which they have partnered on several Streets Ahead structural projects, demonstrating the positive impact that collaboration can have on innovation and forward thinking.

Andrew Harley, Amey’s Structures Manager in Sheffield, said: “It’s a real honour to receive this award jointly with Henry Boot Construction.

“The award celebrates the hard work that the people from both organisations have put into these projects, which are of a large scale. It’s fantastic to receive acknowledgement at awards as prestigious these. Working in partnership with Henry Boot Construction enables us to share best practice and ideas, completing projects to a high standard.”

David Totty, Production Manager at Henry Boot Construction added: “It is a great honour to have received recognition for all the hard work and innovative solutions contributed by the members of the Henry Boot Construction and Amey project teams over the past four years. The scheme has thrown up many challenges in demanding and diverse working environments and through our partnership with Amey, we have continued to deliver a quality end product in a safe and effective manner.”

The Celebrating Construction in South Yorkshire Awards is endorsed by the Chartered Institute of Building in collaboration with Little Spark, is the region’s premiere construction event, showcasing the professionalism, excellence and innovation that is at the heart of South Yorkshire’s construction community.
