Henry Boot Construction, 2016 National Site Award Winners Considerate Constructors Scheme – 18/03/16

Chesterfield College
Hawksley/Cornish Bungalows

Henry Boot Construction are thrilled that two of our projects have won a 2016 National Considerate Constructors Scheme award, Chesterfield College, East Block 1 and Hawksley & Cornish Bungalows.

The Chesterfield College works consisted of a 2000m² construction and fit-out to include new teaching and workshop space housing the colleges’ carpentry, joinery, painting and decoration departments.  Landscaping, cycle shelters, energy saving equipment and photovoltaic roof panels were all installed achieving BREEAM excellent rating.

Refurbishment was carried out to 55 “Hawksley” bungalows and 2 semi-detached “Cornish” properties in Chesterfield.  The external works comprised of replacement windows, doors, roofline works including rainwater goods, external wall insulation and render to occupied properties.

The level of award, Bronze, Silver or Gold, will be announced at Aprils’ award ceremony in Manchester.  Well done to both teams and good luck.

“It’s excellent news to hear that these 2 schemes have been selected for Considerate Constructor awards.  The site teams have put in a lot of effort in each category to achieve scores rated as exceptional by CCS.”
