Leeds College of Building visit
Leeds City Council

Henry Boot Construction’s Yeadon site team and Senior Planner Phil Lambourne hosted a group of students from Leeds College of Building during January. They visited site to gain some first-hand practical experience of site life and received a presentation on the various stages of the scheme.

Topics covered included team structures, site establishment, logistics, planning and BIM with 3D and 4D modelling.  Students from the college are also being offered work placements for the summer of 2016.

The 45 self-contained apartments will be the first council owned and managed, extra care scheme in the city.  This new scheme forms part of the council’s ambitious plans to provide accommodation to suit people’s needs for now and the future.

“The students were interested and engaged with all aspects of the project, and are looking forward to further visits as the building progresses.”
