Henry Boot Construction complete project at Thorne Park – 29/01/16

Thorn Park Unit 1
Henry Boot Developments

Henry Boot Construction have recently completed a project for Henry Boot Developments Limited on Thorne Park, Doncaster.

The works initially entailed the sub division of an existing 32,000 sq. ft. warehouse. However the scheme was changed to a comprehensive refurbishment contract to meet market and client requirements.  The unit was taken by a national packaging company part way through construction and all parties worked closely to ensure that the building was delivered to a high standard for their occupation.

Thorne Park, located on a 20-acre site will offer a mixture of commercial and industrial space totalling over 210,000 sq. ft.  Henry Boot Developments Limited secured a £6.45 million grant from the European Regional Development Fund to start construction on the site.

“The units at Thorne have proved to be popular with the market, given the strategic location on the M18/M1 corridor” said Tim Burn, Project Manager for Henry Boot Developments.  “Once Boxes and Packaging Ltd had signed up, the collaboration of the Developer, Contractor and Design Team, allowed the unit to be built quickly”
