Henry Boot Construction support “Be Inspired” careers event – 20/03/15

Be Inspired

Henry Boot Construction have supported the “Be Inspired” event at Ponds Forge, Sheffield as part of the National Apprenticeship Week. The event was organised by Sheffield City Council and the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council in support of the Skills Made Easy programme which operates across the Sheffield City Region.

The programme is focused on helping employers find training solutions to their business needs whilst improving career opportunities for young people.  The event aims to offer students a better understanding of the range of opportunities available to them via the apprenticeship route.

“We know that businesses face a skills shortage.  Skills Made Easy overcomes the barriers businesses have long complained of about the apprenticeship system, ensuring each business gets the bespoke skills it needs.  With these barriers removed apprenticeships are a great way to develop and grow a business and give our young people new opportunities.”

Councillor Leigh Bramall, Cabinet Member for Business, Skills and Development

“This event has become an annual event for Henry Boot Construction and we continue to support Sheffield City Council in encouraging young people into employment and to showcase the Construction Industry as an employer of choice.”
