Henry Boot Construction attend Careers Fair at Sheffield College – 27/03/15

Careers Fair

As part of National Apprenticeship Week, Henry Boot Construction’s Adeana Raper attended an Apprenticeships Career Fair at Sheffield College supported by the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event was aimed at supporting up and coming apprentices gain opportunities to work with business within the Sheffield City Region, whilst providing students with an opportunity to learn more about local business and the careers available.

Sheffield College provide academic and vocational training through its federation of colleges;- Hillsborough College, Norton College and Peaks College. At any one time Sheffield College have 850 apprentices studying with them, and around 500 employers who support the apprenticeship programme.

This was a well-attended event demonstrating that young people are keen to start on the first rung of their career ladder. It was also an ideal opportunity to promote the numerous vocational and technical career paths in construction.”
