BIM Lecture at Sheffield Hallam University – 06/02/15

Henry Boot Construction’s Project Planner Phillip Lambourne was recently invited to provide a guest lecture at Sheffield Hallam University on the topic of Building Information Modelling to students completing their MBA in Facilities Management.

With the Governments deadline of adopting Level 2 BIM less than 12 months away, Henry Boot Construction were invited to demonstrate the BIM tools that we currently use and how BIM can be utilised by clients and facilities managers in the future.

“The MBA in FM course is designed to intertwine academic theory into current FM business practise. BIM is a prime example where it is essential to understand how industry are planning and implementing the initiative, to allow a full analysis of not only the current but specifically the future impact on the discipline of Facilities Management. As a local company, Henry Boot provided real examples of how BIM is currently been used within the world of construction and therefore offered a great source of expertise in the practicalities of BIM and how this translates across to FM.”
