Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division has been awarded the first phase of the Fountain Court Workpods project.

Fountain Court, Doncaster is part financed by the European Union.  The project has attracted £1.5 million from the European Regional Development Fund as part of Europe’s support for the region’s economic development through the Yorkshire and Humber ERDF programme 2007-13.

The project for Workpods Ltd includes the design and build of a new business park adjacent Doncaster Robin Hood Airport in Finningley which will include several self-contained office units in configuration of 2, 3 and 4 unit blocks. Some of the units can be merged with the adjacent unit to form larger units, by use of knock out panels within party walls.

The overall scheme when complete will include 41nr individual units within phase 1 there are 13nr individual buildings.

The site was previously MoD land and was used as a parade ground and barracks of the RAF Finningley prior to closure and redevelopment of the surrounding area as Robin Hood Airport and business park.

Henry Boot has previously worked very close to the site when we refurbished the Directions Finningley CIC Corporation Aviation Finishing Centre for the National Aviation Academy, based airside at Doncaster Robin Hood Airport.

The 32 week project will commence on the 13 October with completion planned for May 2015.
