Sheffield Hallam University’s MERI Relocation Phase 2 and 3 project awarded – 30/05/14


Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division has just been awarded the Materials and Engineering Research Institute (MERI) Relocation Phases 2 and 3 for Sheffield Hallam University.    

The MERI is a dynamic interdisciplinary research institute dedicated to addressing industrial problems through the application of fundamental science and engineering.

Phase 2 includes the refurbishment of floors 5 and 6 of the Norfolk building, providing staff offices, teaching spaces and open access IT spaces.

Phase 3 includes the refurbishment of the second floor of the Harmer building which will include a new reception area for the department.

The 34 week scheme is due to start with Phase 2 on the 23 June and Phase 3 commencing on the 12 Jan 2015. The works should be completed by end of April 2015.

“The MERI Relocation is another important project for us and Sheffield Hallam University.  We have delivered a number of schemes for them on the City Campus in recent years and we aim to get Sheffield Hallam University on track with this important project.
