Futureworks Yorkshire celebrate first anniversary – 08/08/14

Futureworks Yorkshire

Henry Boot Construction recently joined in the first anniversary celebrations of Futureworks Yorkshire.  Futureworks Yorkshire was established 2 May 2013 principally to deliver the YORfuture Shared Apprenticeship Programme under licence from YORhub Construction Frameworks for Yorkshire and the Humber. This programme is funded by CITB the national training organization for construction in the UK.

Based in Hull, but serving the Yorkshire and Humber region as a whole, Futureworks aims to provide its clients a flexible and high quality service in the provision of apprenticeships within the construction sector including technical, trades and manufacturing, and distribution roles.

Henry Boot Construction was the first Company to take students through the Shared Apprenticeship Programme. One of the students has just completed his intermediate apprenticeship in carpentry.

“YorFuture has provided the industry with a solution to enable companies, with short term contracts to recruit local apprentices and give them much needed work experience to enable them to complete the apprenticeship framework”
