Henry Boot helps the community of South Ferriby back into their homes following the devastating floods – 02/04/14

Flooding South Ferriby

Henry Boot Constructions’ Eastern Division is engaging with the local community in South Ferriby whilst undertaking repairs to their homes following the devastation on the evening of 5th December 2013 when a tidal surge caused the river Humber to burst its banks, affecting homes and businesses.

Henry Boot are carrying out repairs to 25 flood properties on behalf of North Lincolnshire Homes as part of our successful partnership which we have delivered more than £14m of work over the last 4 years.

The extensive repairs required out to enable residents back into their homes include; plumbing and electrical works, the renewal of plaster on walls to ground floors, new door frames and skirting boards throughout, bathroom and kitchen replacement together with decoration throughout.  Externally, the properties have benefited from the cleaning of external facades, hard standings and footpaths.

Following the drying out process, the refurbishment work commenced on the 20th January 2014 and is due to complete by 31st March 2014.

“Henry Boot is undertaking the refurbishment works required to make homes liveable again for the residents living in the village of South Ferriby following the horrendous flooding and, we are making every effort to meet and support residents during this difficult time”
