Henry Boot Construction’s site teams are celebrating another successful year at the National Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards, picking up two Silver and four Bronze Awards at a ceremony in Manchester this April.

Social housing refurbishment schemes featured heavily in those nominated for the awards, with three St Leger Homes of Doncaster and two North Lincolnshire Homes Schemes achieving success on the day.

A kitchen and bathrooms replacement scheme in Leicester also picked up a bronze award, alongside the only non-housing project – the Westcliffe Primary School scheme in Scunthorpe.

Henry Boot Construction is an Associate Member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, and we appoint a ‘CCS Champion’ on all of our sites, as part of our commitment to the Scheme and sustainability in our work operations.

The winning teams were made up of:

  • North Lincolnshire Homes - Communal Entrances Refurbishment
    Gareth Wagstaffe - Silver
  • St Leger Homes, Energy Efficiency Works
Derek McDonald, Ryan Spencer & Steve Bayston - Silver
  • North Lincolnshire Homes - Crosby External Wall Insulation
Jonathan Watkins & Philip Horsfield - Bronze
  • Westcliffe Primary School
Paul Day, Dave Foster, Chris Conner - Bronze
  • Leicester Kitchens & Bathrooms
    Derek McDonald - Bronze
  • St Leger Homes, Stainforth Heating Upgrade

“Well done to all of the site teams for their hard work and success at this year’s CCS Awards. Working in the heart of the community, particularly on schools and housing projects, it is important to engage with local people, which helps us to promote a positive image of the construction industry.”
