Sheffield City Council Moorfoot project awarded – 14/01/13

Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Divison has just been awarded the refurbishment of a large part of the iconic Moorfoot building in Sheffield, for Sheffield City Council.

The multi-million pound project will deliver vital services upgrades and a refurbishment to the majority of the building’s 11 floors to provide office space for SCC employees, who will be moving over during 2013 and beyond.

The Moorfoot building, previously referred to as the Manpower Services Commission, has housed various government and city council departments since it opened in 1981.

The 39 week project is due to start on 28th January, with a completion date planned for mid-October 2013.

“We are pleased to announce our latest project success with Sheffield City Council. We have worked hard to secure this project despite tight budgetary constraints and the refurbishment of this iconic building on the Sheffield landscape will mean it can continue to be of use to the Council for many years to come.”
