Ward Q2

Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division has impressed staff at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, delivering an excellent finished standard and handing over the Ward Q2 refurbishment on programme.

Staff in the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s Estates Department said the project had a finish ‘as good if not better’ than any ward refurbishments done within the hospital to date.

The Ward Q2 Project saw one wing of the iconic main building at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital transformed into a fully refurbished Stroke Ward, adding to the existing treatment provision on the 17thfloor and providing additional single-sex accommodation in line with current healthcare guidelines.

Works began in March 2012 and completed in early September.

“We are really pleased with the quality of works on Ward Q2. To say your management team in Jack and Nick are relatively young, they have produced a finish as good if not better than any of the Ward Refurbishments we have done here to date.”

Dean Morton, Senior Project Manager, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
