Wakefield BISF contract awarded – 19/11/12

Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division will deliver external wall insulation and roofing works to over 140 properties in the Wakefield area this winter – lowering energy bills for residents and improving the environmental performance of our client’s housing stock.

The project for Wakefield District Housing will see the transformation of the post-war British Iron and Steel Federation properties with the removal of steel panels, re-roofing, external insulated render, new lean-to roofs and external canopies.

It was awarded under the four-year EN Procure framework, which aims to reduce duplication in tendering activities for Local Authorities and Social Landlords throughout the north of England.

HBC has a wealth of experience in modernising non-traditional housing, including BISF, Wimpey No Fines and REEMA properties and works closely with a range of social housing providers to modernise their stock and improve facilities for residents.

Works begin mid-November with a six-month contract period.

“We are pleased to announce this new project for Wakefield District Housing and look forward to working with them on this important non-traditional housing upgrade scheme.”
