Schools visits spread the safety message – 25/06/12

Crowcroft Primary School

Crowcroft Primary School

Henry Boot Construction is spreading the safety message to schools across our region with a number of visits organised by our site delivery teams recently.

Lawrence Ross gave a safety talk to over 200 children from Crowcroft Primary School in Longsight, Manchester, before joining in a ‘Dress the Teacher’ competition with the liaison team led by Carol Hill-Firth.

The school is close to the Bickerdike flats, which we are currently refurbishing for the Eastlands Homes Partnership.

Carol also organised a talk at Henderson Road Primary School in Scunthorpe, where Phil Horsfield and Jon Watkins gave a safety talk and led the colouring competition – the winning entries will be displayed on the site hoarding directly opposite the school gates.

We are currently delivering a number of schemes throughout Scunthorpe for North Lincolnshire Homes and outreach projects like this are key to maintaining the children’s safety, especially given the upcoming school holidays.

“These days are always fun for the schools and HBC staff alike but they spread an important message to the children about the dangers of the site environment and the importance of keeping away – we look forward to more schools visits in the new term.”
