Jubilee celebrations supported by Henry Boot – 07/06/12

Henry Boot Construction’s Customer Care teams have been out in the community this weekend, delivering Jubilee fun across a number of our social housing sites.

The ‘Great British Diamond Jubilee Fish and Chip Feast’ was organised by Arrowfield and Hough End Community Action Group, a local resident’s group in East Manchester.

Karen Fisher and her team manned a party games stall, providing entertainment to adults and children from the estates, where we are currently delivering a balcony extensions, insulated render and structural repairs schemes.

In Thorne, near Doncaster, the annual ‘Party in the Ponds’ was held to raise money for the District Angling Association to help fund a programme of fishing courses for local youngsters throughout the summer.

Customer Care Coordinator Catherine Spooner and her team from the St Leger Homes of Doncaster Decent Homes project got involved on the day, providing prizes for a number of the competitions and assisting with the fundraising and organisation of the event, including the much needed provision of portaloos!

Our sister company Banner Plant also supported the event, by providing a storage container for the day’s activities.

“We are always pleased to get involved with community activities – the work do for our social housing clients is vital to the regeneration of local areas and events like these help to boost morale and pride in the community – we are proud to be a part of that.”
