£5000 raised for St Luke’s Hospice – 05/07/12

St Luke’s Hospice

St Luke’s Hospice

A charity golf day for St Luke’s Hospice has raised over £5000, despite the poor English ‘summer’ threatening to overshadow the day.

One of our Assistant Site Managers, Ryan Spencer, was inspired to raise money for the Hospice after his Dad received such a high standard of care there prior to his passing at the end of last year.

Henry Boot Construction was the main sponsor of the event, which took place at the Hallamshire Golf Club on 22ndJune despite torrential rain and a howling wind.

Other support was received from Sytner of Sheffield who donated prizes for the event, which was attended by entrants from DAL Ltd, Woodseat's Plumbing Company Ltd, Arnold Laver, Greenhill Air Conditioning, Ryder Levitt Bucknall, Irwin Mitchell, Sytner Sheffield, John Aspinall, Hewson & Howson and Lazenby Construction Ltd.

The team from Irwin Mitchell were victors on the day, but everyone celebrated afterwards with catering provided by ‘Roast Sheffield’.

“Thanks to Henry Boot and all the sponsors and participants – despite the awful weather we had a great day and raised much more than we anticipated for St Luke’s Hospice.”

Ryan Spencer, Assistant Site Manager, Henry Boot Construction
