Considerate Constructors Associate

Henry Boot Construction completed 2011 with an average Considerate Constructors Score of 34.3 points across the business, turning out a year on year improvement for the last five years and demonstrating our commitment to the principles of the scheme.

The highest score recorded in 2011 was 38 points at the Intake social housing refurbishment project for St Leger Homes of Doncaster.

Site Managers Rob Barkworth and Ryan Spencer were praised for their involvement with the local community and have picked up a nomination for a national award.

The Tarran Bungalows (Rotherham MBC) and Wimpey No Fines (North Lincolnshire Homes) both received excellent scores of 37.5 points thanks to the personalised level of care the residents received from Site Manager Jonathan Watkins.

Jonathan has been nominated for two national awards at the ceremony, which will be held in Manchester this March.

HBC is an Associate Member of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, which aims to improve the image of construction through providing excellent working conditions on site, minimising the impact of construction activities on the environment and leaving a lasting legacy of improvement in the communities affected by the works.

In the past two years, we have been nominated for a number of national awards from the CCS, including coming runner up to ‘Most Considerate Site’ in two consecutive years – a first for any company since the Scheme began.

“Another excellent performance by our site teams this year has enabled us to improve our average CCS score yet again. Consistently turning out scores of 34 and above is a real testament to the commitment of everyone at Henry Boot Construction to minimising the negative impacts of construction sites on the communities in which we work.”
