Architecture student placement a resounding success – 04/12/12

Emma Dragovic

Henry Boot Construction has just hosted an Architecture student from the University of Glasgow, giving her a taste of construction and broadening her experience in the industry.

Emma Dragovic spent four weeks on placement at HBC, working alongside our site teams on the St Leger Homes of Doncaster and MDC Managed Work Space projects

She saw a Quantity Surveying position advertised on the Henry Boot Construction website and although it wasn’t exactly what she wanted, she thought she would get in touch to see how we could help.

A placement was arranged, which was completed at the end of November.

Forging strong links with education and training establishments is a major part of our commitment to communities and the development of our workforce, outlined in our recently launched Sustainability Strategy.

“I would like to thank the Henry Boot Construction for giving me the opportunity to see different job roles within the construction industry and seeing them applied to a working environment. As an architecture student it has been a valuable source of experience, seeing another side to construction other than the design phase.”
