Year on year improvement in Considerate Constructor’s scores – 11/10/11

Considerate Constructors Associate

Henry Boot Construction has shown a year on year improvement in Considerate Constructor’s Scheme scores in the last five years, with an average score of 33.8 points so far for 2011.

The highest score recorded so far this year was 38 points at the Intake site for St Leger Homes of Doncaster.

HBC is an Associate Member of the CCS, which aims to improve the image of construction through providing excellent working conditions on site, minimising the impact of construction activities on the environment and leaving a lasting legacy of improvement in the communities affected by the works.

In the past two years, we have been nominated for a number of national awards from the CCS, including coming runner up to ‘Most Considerate Site’ in two consecutive years – a first for any company since the Scheme began.

“We are strongly committed to the principles of the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme, and encourage all of our site teams to do their best for the workforce, the public and the environment – we hope to continue the improvements and post even better scores next year.”
