Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division has just been awarded a multi-million pound contract to build a new state of the art Critical Care Unit at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.

The 37-week project involves the refurbishment of wards J1, K1 and K2 in the iconic main hospital building, creating the dedicated facility as well as new plant rooms and staff offices.

The scheme was won in a competitive tender under a four-year partnering framework with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

HBC completed four major refurbishment projects under the same framework at the Northern General Hospital in 2010.

“We look forward to delivering our first project at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital to the same high standards as our previous projects for STHT, and are glad of the opportunity to further strengthen our relationships with STHT.”
