2011 - January 2011
Recycling Rates up to 96% – 12/01/11
Henry Boot Construction’s waste recycling figures are up to 96% on a number of projects, and their environmental policies and procedures have been praised by a government scheme.
WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) have prepared a case study highlighting the achievements of Henry Boot Construction in meeting its targets for the Halving Waste to Landfill programme.
Waste to landfill has been reduced by 20% since 2008 through close involvement with the supply chain and an education programme for all employees and site staff.
Re-use of materials, including road planings, has reduced the amount of waste being taken off-site and Site Waste Management Plans are regularly ‘reality checked’ to ensure they are delivering the best performance possible.
Robust targets have been set for 2010 – 2012 and further information can be found here.
