Tarran bungalows completed ahead of programme – 20/12/11

Tarran Bungalows

Henry Boot Construction’s Tarran Bungalows insulated render programme was handed over one week ahead of programme, gaining praise from the client as well as an excellent Considerate Constructor’s Scheme score.

The project involved the installation of an energy-efficient external insulated render system to 38 non-traditional homes for Rotherham MBC, with asbestos removal works and external envelope improvements also delivered under the scheme.

Site Manager Jonathan Watkins achieved an excellent score of 37.5 out of 40 from the Considerate Constructor’s Scheme monitor, who praised him for his commitment to the community and innovative practices, such as introducing an oversized ID badge for partially-sighted residents.

The site has been nominated for a national Considerate Constructor’s Award, which will be decided in spring next year. The scheme has made a major difference to the local community, improving both the external appearance of the dwellings and providing energy and cost savings to the people who live there.

“The customer satisfaction has been exceptional. The way Jonathan set up the contract and carried out the works is a credit to Henry Boot Construction. It has been a pleasure to be involved in such a successful scheme, which has made a massive difference to our customers.”
