New benches for Plover Primary School thanks to HBC donation – 05/12/11

Plover School

Henry Boot Construction’s Eastern Division has just presented a cheque for £500 to Plover Primary School in Doncaster, as part of a competition to design health and safety posters for the site compound.

Children from the Intake area were invited to take part in the competition, warning people about the dangers of construction sites, following a visit from the HBC site team and Considerate Constructor’s Scheme mascot Ivor Goodsite.

Two posters from each of the four categories were blown up and displayed on the site hoarding, and the school received a £500 donation from HBC which they are putting towards new school benches.

HBC are working in the area as part of the St Leger Homes of Doncaster Decent Homes project, undertaking internal and external upgrades to a range of property types.

“The new benches will make a real difference to Plover Primary School and we are grateful to all the children who took part in the competition – we had some excellent entries and it was very hard to decide the winners of each category.”
