Outokumpu civils contract complete – 09/08/11

Outokumpu Completion

Henry Boot Construction’s General Works Division has just completed a concrete repairs project for Outokumpu, delivering a high-value contract in a very tight time period.

The project included extensive repairs to the scrap yard whilst the company was on operational shut-down in the last two weeks of July.

The works allowed essential maintenance to be carried out without disrupting the operation of the plant at Shepcote Lane, Sheffield.

HBC have worked on the site, previously owned by British Steel, for over 30 years undertaking many civils and general building works projects in that period.

“The project involved a lot of planning to ensure that the works could be carried out and completed within such a tight time-frame. We are pleased to have delivered another on-time, on-budget project for Outokumpu.”

Gary Shirley, Regional Manager, General Works Division
