Bespoke company software goes live – 02/08/11

Henry Boot Construction has just launched two new bespoke software applications that deal with risk assessments and carbon footprint calculations, as part their commitment to continual improvement and staff development.

The software was developed in-house following an in-depth staff consultation exercise, and training has been rolled out to all of the users over the past few weeks.

The risk assessment software 'Activity Risk Assessment' follows the risk assessment hierarchy and provides a bespoke company framework for the completion of risk assessment and development of safe systems of work.

The 'Carbon Footprint Calculator' has been developed to monitor and report on the levels of carbon arising from site activities using current Constructing Excellence conversion factors.

“Having access to in-house software designers has given us the scope to create the perfect tools for our business needs – these new applications will help manage essential processes on site and drive the reduction of carbon throughout our business operations.”
