Green Fingers in Denaby – 25/09/10

Henry Boot have been helping kids develop their green fingers in Doncaster, thanks to a new greenhouse made entirely from plastic bottles and a home for two chickens.

The greenhouse is the focus of a number of projects at the Denaby and Conisborough Children’s Centre that will help kids to create their own allotment and grow their own produce.

“We’ve used recycled wood as the frame for the greenhouse and the kids can learn how to put the bottles in place. The eggs from the chickens will be used in the cafe and we are looking at homing a pony and some sheep here.”
