Going wild in Shirecliffe – 11/11/10

goingwildinshirecliffe

A community park is blooming thanks to the efforts of Henry Boot Construction, Sheffield City Council and the Shirecliffe Forum.

The Busk Meadows Park flower beds have been transformed with an array of wild flowers donated by Henry Boot and other local businesses.

Working on the nearby Shirecliffe new housing scheme, Henry Boot heard about the park from the local Tenants and Residents Association. As part of a strong commitment to improving local communities, Henry Boot Construction worked with the City Council and other companies to see what could be done.

The result was a transformation of the park's borders with a number of wildflower species, improving the area for all local people.

“Communities are at the centre of our work and we always aim to leave lasting legacies for them. Working together with our local partners, Busk Meadows has been completely transformed by the planting of the wildflowers, which can be enjoyed by everyone.”
