Flagship extra care housing for Leeds City Council

This ambitious scheme forms part of the council's plans to provide homes in the area which suit people's needs, now and in the future. The first of its kind in Leeds, the complex of 45 one and two bedroom apartments includes a range of vibrant communal and outdoor spaces.

Completed to the full satisfaction of the client, the scheme was awarded the RoSPA Silver Award. The hard work of our site team was also recognised at the Committed to Construction in Humber and Yorkshire Awards, winning Team of the Year.

Further to our conversation this morning we would like to reiterate what a first rate job has been done by all the site staff at Yeadon. We would like to make a special mention for Site Manager Adrian. He has organised the job fantastically well and from our perspective the job has run like a dream.

Development using BIM

We invested in and developed this project using Building Information Modelling (BIM), providing BIM workshops to key stakeholders in collaboration with Watson Batty Architects. Dan Callaghan, Regeneration Officer for the Housing Growth Team at Leeds City Council said, “Staff from Leeds City Council found the workshop very informative and a useful learning point in the development of the Council’s BIM strategy. This will feed into how the Council uses BIM to deliver higher quality projects and more efficient processes in the future.”
