The new single and two storey primary school, nursery and children's centre ensures Westcliffe Primary School can provide high quality care and education for hundreds of children.
On completion, Westcliffe Primary became the most environmentally friendly school in Lincolnshire, with the building achieving a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund, the project was delivered under the JCT Standard Form of Contract, secured in an OJEU single stage tender.
Henry Boot Construction has proved without exception to be an extremely efficient and accommodating company. The build proceeded as planned. All deadlines were met and the disruption to our children’s learning kept to an absolute minimum - the builders even ‘kept quiet’ for us during SATs week.

Renewable energy generation now meets 50% of the school's energy requirements, with other enhancements including:
- Photovoltaic panels
- Rainwater harvesting system
- Ground source heat pumps
A vital part of the project was ensuring schoolchildren learnt about safety on the construction site. This was reinforced with school activities throughout the scheme. For parents and staff, a project noticeboard displayed at the site entrance showed weekly progress updates, photos and details of upcoming works. Effective consultation with local neighbours ensured the local community were not disrupted, by completing work during term time and careful schedule of deliveries.
