Improving local health services in Stocksbridge

Major improvements to the Valley Medical Centre has transformed the environment for patients and staff.

The refurbished building has an attractive entrance area, refurbished waiting areas and three new clinical rooms, providing more space for the growing practice. To minimise disruption to patients during the project, the work was carefully planned and carried out in phases. The Centre now caters for around 9,700 patients in the Stocksbridge and Deepcar area and further improvements have made the centre's services more convenient for patients, such as a new call system and a community room.

The Medical Centre premises are greatly improved now that the main part of the modernisation and expansion work has been completed. We are continuing to develop other internal changes and upgrades at the practice in order to future proof our services for the benefits of our community. These will include a new patient call system and a community room. We have already received some lovely comments from our patients and visitors.
