The new three-storey extension and refurbishment of the Management School provides key services for staff and students in Sheffield, including large open plan spaces, an Employability hub and additional offices.
A collaborative approach minimised the impact of the project on staff and students at the Management School. Continuous updates and flexible build schedules ensured construction worked around the needs of the client. The site team ensured local residents were always kept informed about the scheme, minimising the impact of the project on the local area. Adopting flexible build schedules also ensured construction worked around the needs of the Management School.
A key factor to this success was the flexibility and consideration Henry Boot and the Site Manager provided. Another success factor was attention to detail. This was an extension to an existing building and HBC worked hard to ensure the working site remained out of sight to all our staff and students. Henry Boot Construction staff and their contractors showed real consideration for the need to operate with minimum noise and mess.
