Improving the lives of thousands of residents

Delivery of social housing renovations and upgrades to meet the Decent Homes standard. Works comprised internal upgrades to kitchens, bathrooms, heating, loft insulation and re-wiring. External upgrades comprised new windows and doors, roof repairs and external render to improve thermal efficiency.

We consistently over-achieved on KPIs against other contractors on the framework for customer satisfaction, health and safety, completion on-time and employment and skills. Our sites were awarded CCS Gold and Silver Awards and were Runner Up to the Most Considerate Site in the UK award. Contributing to a strong local economy, we secured 100% local employment for project-initiated jobs and apprenticeships and 76% of our supply chain were SMEs based within 20 miles of site.

We have built a constructive and positive working relationship with Henry Boot over the past 8 years. In addition to being the top performing contractor on the framework they have added value to the scheme with their social value ethos. They have supported local employment and regeneration and completed numerous community projects in Doncaster

Kevin Middlebrook, St Leger Homes of Doncaster, Contract & Compliance Manager

I have found your professional, honest, genuine and helpful approach to the works has been an example of how a scheme should be ran and hope that we get the chance to work on schemes again in the future.

Helping change lives and support young people

The scheme was recognised at the national Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) Awards for our commitment to the community. A CCS Monitor said: "The extent of community involvement is particularly impressive – it is evident that the Project Manager has dedicated himself to identifying considerate initiatives which have been totally embraced and implemented by HBC management– well done to the team."

Some of our many successful initiatives included:

  • Creating employment opportunities for apprentices, including placements.
  • Donating time, materials and financially supporting local groups, charities and community centres.
  • Supporting and attending local schools and community groups, including donating building materials to school projects. Ivor Goodsite was also brought to schools to teach children about site safety.
  • Working in collaboration with the Safer Neighbourhood Team and assisting South Yorkshire Police with a Junior PCSO programme of activities for local children.
