An inspirational learning environment for staff and students

Remodelling and refurbishing two floors of the Medical School for the University of Sheffield, in partnership with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, has created state of the art teaching and learning facilities within the Royal Hallamshire Hospital Campus.

To complete before start of the academic year, the project required careful collaboration with the client, landlord and Royal Hallamshire Hospital teams. Working in a busy city centre hospital, key operations were completed out of hours including crane lifts. Coordinating closely with the STHFT minimised disruption to the hospital and ensured the public was protected at all times.

This project has been truly transformational and has significantly changed the environment for staff and particularly students within the previous facilities... I’d have no hesitation in recommending Henry Boot to any potential client. The working relationships and the quality and ease of doing business with the firm are all important factors to the University of Sheffield when working with a valued construction partner.
