Creating a modern new centre for a top games developer

Best known for games including Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000 and The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, Games Workshop Limited required a new visitor centre at their Nottingham Headquarters.

With a new architectural pod entrance and lifted roofline incorporating a mezzanine floor, the finished building is an ideal exhibition space, attracting global collectors and gamers. The scheme required major alteration work to the existing building, all completed whilst reducing disruption to the fully operational 24-hour manufacturing activities throughout the project. A high standard of finish and excellent delivery ensured handover was completed with zero defects, with an excellent working relationship maintained with the client throughout.

Henry Boot Construction have developed a good working relationship with Games Workshop. I am very pleased with the team’s approach and attitude to their work during our project. Working on a live and operational site, the team have been considerate of the needs of our staff and customers. We are very impressed with the works.

The project required major alteration works, including the removal of existing finishes and the installation of a new architectural fit out. New glass screens were incorporated into the Gaming Hall to separate the new shop fronts and the finished entrance is home to a real military tank.
