As part of four schemes completed for the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, we were contracted to create and refurbish a new state of the art Burns Unit and a new Surgical Assessment Unit, to improve care and ease peak demand for emergency surgical patients in the Huntsman Building at Northern General.
The site team enabled the project to finish four weeks early through flexible out of hours working, whilst also incorporating additional design changes. Liaising closely with staff in all departments ensured the safe movement of materials and equipment throughout the hospital. Both projects required major relocation work of existing units along with complex mechanical and electrical service upgrades, including installing two suites of medical gas services to five bed spaces, five differential air pressure zones and radioactive waste pipes.
Your team has always been cooperative when requested to fit in with work during the Trust’s commissioning time. The members of your team with whom I come in contact at site meetings are always professional, obliging, pleasant, knowledgeable and respectful. Your team is very good to work with and I shall be pleased to work with you in the future.
