  • Bronte Lecture Theatre roof

Improving the student experience by modernising existing facilities

The detailed works to construct a new roof over the Bronte Lecture Theatre has ensured the University of Huddersfield can adapt their facilities and increase the quality of their offering to students.

The 14 week project included construction of a steel frame onto existing steel work, with Louvres fitted to the three exposed sides of the roof, with an escape hatch cut through the concrete slab, leading to the stairs. With a great working relationship established with the client, the site team completed the work on time, with full client satisfaction.

Henry Boot Construction engaged pro-actively with the University around a sensitive site to ensure a quality solution was achieved, whilst ensuring no disruption during our important graduation period.
