    A new 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse unit for the iconic DIY chain

The design process was managed through careful planning and weekly client workshops with the client to ensure it met the stringent B&Q shell specification.

By using a novated design team, works commenced just three weeks after the contract had been awarded. The unit was handed over on time and opened for trading precisely as planned, with all works completed to the full satisfaction of the independent B&Q auditor.

Carbon-reduction measures

Extensive sustainable elements were installed, with the works achieving a BREEAM score of 'Excellent', recognising the carbon-reducing measures implemented.

Key works included:

  • 50,000 sq. ft warehouse unit, including 20,000 sq. ft. of offices and public toilet areas.
  • 10,000 sq. ft. industrial unit was also constructed on another part of the site.
  • New entrance road and T-junction to Section 38 adoptable standards.
