Creating and installing reinforced concrete foundations, walls and other structures for a new rail-serviced aggregate and asphalt plant. The full scheme includes a new rail offloading and storage system, asphalt production plant and associated facilities.
Finished on time and within budget, the project allows Tinsley to provide more than 1.5 million tonnes of tarmac within a five year period. Detailed consultations with the client provided value engineering solutions and as the site developed, over £500k of additional works were completed, including creating site access roads, drainage and accommodation areas.
This scheme was delivered within a very tight programme - close working between Henry Boot Construction and the Aggregate Industries design team ensured the plant was operational by the due date.
