The 44 week new build and refurbishment project provided a new modern 500m2 building with new teaching areas, alongside upgrades to existing buildings and services.
The safety and wellbeing of all students and staff was of paramount concern for the site team, with the works completed over five phases whilst the school remained fully open. Carrying out significant enabling works during holiday periods also minimised any impact to school activities.
Henry Boot has proven to be a great partner for the school in being the main contractor. We are impressed with the controls and protocols put in place by Henry Boot who proved to be excellent in ensuring that the school was safe and comfortable. They have shown true professionalism in their safe working around pupils, parents and staff.

Works included remodelling the existing school to provide new classrooms, together with refurbishment works to provide replacement windows, doors, and new roof and wall insulation to improve thermal efficiency. The mechanical and electrical services were completely upgraded with new fire suppression, secruity and access control systems installed. New roof lights and fixtures and fittings were also added, including a new computer network and interactive whiteboards.
With the project handed over two weeks early, the staff and students were so happy that they baked a cake in their new kitchen to thank the site team for their hard work.
