‘The Boot Boys’ return to annual charity golf tournament

A team representing the Henry Boot Group of Companies once again took to the 18 holes of Sickleholme Golf Club in Bamford for the annual golf tournament to raise money for The Children’s Hospital Charity.

As main sponsors of the event, our team made up of Dave Pearson, Giles Boot, Keith Burns and Tom Marsh entered a field of around 150 players. Although they didn't manage to bring the win home, a great day was had by all the team.

The tournament is organised by Ewen MacKinnon who was previously a surgeon at Sheffield Children's Hospital. The annual event has been now running for 27 years and has raised over £100,000 for the charity in this time, with Henry Boot entering a team for over ten years, and coming out on top on one occasion.

We have a longstanding partnership with The Children’s Hospital Charity, we are currently a supporting partner of The Bears of Sheffield having previously provided significant support for the highly successful Herd of Sheffield event, which raised £610,000 for the charity in 2016.
