Last week colleagues HR & Resourcing Advisor Hayley Hardy and Trainee Bradley Longford conducted mock interviews with ex-servicemen and women, in collaboration with training LifeWorks.

Held at Barnsley Town Hall, ex-Forces personnel took part in the interviews as part of a short course with LifeWorks to help them gain employment. After receiving their updated C. V’s, Hayley and Bradley carried out the mock interviews offering a valuable opportunity for them to practice their interview techniques. Participants then received feedback based on their performance to help identify their strengths and weaknesses.

LifeWorks offers short courses tailored specifically towards helping ex-Forces personnel secure the future they want. They provide the right tools to get attendees into and, help maintain a civilian job that is appropriate for them.

The work that this charity undertakes is priceless, the delegates gain so many useful skills in such a short space of time. Being involved with such a wonderful charity is extremely heart-warming and the candidates we met at mock interviews should be tremendously proud of themselves.

The interviewees showcased their newly acquired skills and performed very well on the day, I wish them every success with their current job search.
