Rudding Park Spa recognised at Yorkshire awards

The success of our Rudding Park Spa project has now been recognised at the Yorkshire Property Awards (YPA) and at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Awards.

The beautifully crafted spa facility has received a Recognition of Excellence Award and a Highly Commended certificate, demonstrating its outstanding build quality and impact in the region. The project received the Recognition of Excellence Award at the Yorkshire Property Awards, the largest property awards event in the region. The awards recognise outstanding achievements by businesses across Yorkshire.

When presenting the trophy, the YPA committee said: “We wanted to recognise this outstanding, award-winning project for its exceptional design and build quality. A destination spa has always been part of the Rudding Park vision and this became a reality with the launch of the new Spa which opened in May 2017 after being in the pipeline for 12 years.”

At the RICS Yorkshire & Humber Awards, the spa won Highly Commended in the Tourism and Leisure category, which honours projects that make an outstanding contribution to facilities in the region. The RICS Awards are recognised as one of the most prestigious industry awards for construction in the region.

Work on Rudding Park Spa began in 2016 and included the construction of a multi-level extension to the Grade I listed hotel building, situated within the historic Repton landscape. The Spa is over three floors and features an exceptional 17m swimming pool, along with an extensive range of hydrotherapy and thermotherapy experiences, eleven treatment rooms with four mind and sense zones in which guests can relax following a treatment, 3 AA Rosette Horto restaurant and a lifestyle and gifting shop.

So far this year, the building has also won New Build Project of the Year at the National Federation of Builders Awards and Team of the Year at the CIOB Committed to Construction in Humber & West Yorkshire Awards.
