As part of our commitment to using the principles of Building Information Modelling (BIM) on every project, Henry Boot Construction have signed up to the NFB’s Digital Construction programme.

This project is part funded by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and aims to develop and enhance the ways in which contractors and supply chains work collaboratively using BIM on live projects. The programme comprises 33 days of training and consultancy support and is delivered by the NFB’s partner organisation Project Five.

All staff will be attending a level of BIM training such as:

  • A Strategic Leadership Programme in BIM and Collaborative Working to enable senior managers to develop a strategic approach to BIM implementation.
  • A BIM Fundamentals course to provide basic knowledge and skills across project teams.
  • A BIM Practitioner programme to train key individuals to lead the implementation of BIM and collaboration on projects.

In total, we are aiming to deliver over 2,000 hours of training both internally and with supply chain partners.

We designed the Digital Construction programme to help contractors to take that critical next step with BIM. We are excited to be working with Henry Boot, who have all the attributes to move from ‘getting ready’ for BIM to delivering measurable benefits on live projects.
